Greetings to all Sisters and Brothers!!!!

I greet to all the authorities and members of the Order of the Eastern Star present this afternoon in the closing of our XVII Grand Session. I thank our Heavenly Father for allowing us to meet after such a long quarantine. Let's always make the best of the time that God gives us by carrying out praiseworthy activities for our growth, for our families and for the society.

I thank our sister Mónica Siles de Leytón, immediate Past Grand Matron, and all members of the district of Oruro, for having successfully carried out this XVII Grand Session, which has allowed us to re-encounter, to embrace sisters and brothers from all over the Bolivia, from north to south, from west to east. It has allowed us to once again live the magic that our Grand Sessions represent.

I present my gratitude to Past Grand Matrons and Patrons Installing Officers for the impeccable Installation Ceremony they conducted with such solemnity. My appreciation goes to all our former Past Grand authorities for their experiences and teachings regarding the guidance of this Grand Chapter.

Above all, I thank the members of our Order, sisters and brothers, for the trust placed in me, for electing me to hold, for the term 2022-2023, the highest position of the Grand Chapter of Bolivia, for giving me this opportunity to serve them and dedicate my time to them, to learn and grow together. I take office with a serious commitment to do everything possible to lead the Grand Chapter with responsibility and love, with justice and tolerance, with humility and in harmony. I am sure that we will achieve the objectives outlined with the collaboration of all our beloved Order's members.

My commitment for the term we are about to begin is based on the pillars of the work that we are going to carry out this year together with the Grand Officers that will accompany me:

  1. Start with the modernization and systematization of the administrative work of the Grand Chapter and the Subordinate Chapters according to today's digitized technology. Our membership number so requires it.
  2. Achieve a detailed review of the Regulations that govern us, in such a way that they facilitate the development of administration, avoiding confusion that leads us to mistakes due to gaps, or that leads us to different interpretations.
  3. Secure the Order's assets with corrective actions so that our deposits are never again at risk of being lost.
  4. Guide and encourage the study of our Ritual, which requires us to be fully versed in its conduction. To achieve this goal, we must educate ourselves.
  5. Carry out activities that help us spiritual growth and the exercise of high human values.
  6. Visit all Subordinate Chapters and participate in their regular meetings, in order to have direct contact with the Sisters and Brothers to know their concerns and Chapter needs, allowing me feedback to adjust the course of the work of this working term.

I want to clearly state that my desire is to be a Worthy Grand Matron who integrates all the regions since I perfectly understand the strength that unity gives. For this, I will establish an open line of communication with all Chapters, promoting consultation, respecting the independence and decisions of each one of them within strict compliance of our Rules and Regulations, thus respecting the Oath that I made before the Altar.

EMBLEM:  BIBLE 

Divine inspiration that reflects God's relationship with humanity. It is a light on our path that leads us to God.

HONORARY STATIONS: CHAPLAIN AND GUARDIAN

The Chaplain's station is directly connected to the Altar where we revere God. Its emblem is the open Bible, a symbol of the Law of Good Living.

The Warder's station is related to the union and tranquility that should reign in the meetings of our Order. His emblem is the dove, a symbol of peace and harmony.

VIRTUES:

CHARITY Theological virtue that contains within itself faith and hope. Charity allows us to act from love, selflessly and always doing good. Therefore, acts of charity generate happiness, joy and peace. Charity is synonymous with love for God above all things, which leads to loving our neighbor as ourselves.

JUSTICE

Cardinal virtue that puts into practice respect for people and seeks the common good. It is opposed to selfishness, lies and the evil of certain acts. Who is fair, acts correctly and respects the rights of the other in search of a harmonious relationship

LOGO:  MANDALA

Sacred symbol of healing, wholeness and integration. It represents life, the cosmos and eternity. Energy Center of Balance and purification that helps us on our way to self-knowledge, calm and serenity.

FLOWER: PANSY 

(Viola tricolor). Symbol of innocence, modesty, decency, love and affection in general. Purple pansy embodies dignity and nobility. Due to their rich hues, purple pansies also symbolize beauty. By its name, this flower is associated with free thought and consideration.

The white dove is a messenger of hope and love. It symbolizes peace, purity and serenity.
